Bill Ballard

BILL BALLARD
The word “photography” translated from the Greek, literally means “light-drawing.” It is the creation and manifestation of a visible and recognizable image from nothing more than reflected light. My work is traditional both in style and production.

While I work in both digital and film formats, I have a strong preference for silver based film as my primary medium, particularly for black & white photography and print making.

Each black & white print is a silver-gelatin image on fiber based paper and is individually handcrafted in a traditional darkroom. All prints are processed to museum archival standards for stability, longevity, and quality. Signed, limited edition prints are available in editions of 15.
